The payment and invoice process is from the Stone Age. You can’t pay for your lots on the drouot website. You have to wait for an invoice from the seller, which will arrive in French and typically with very unclear instructions. The payment link often requires that you know the date and title of the auction, rather than simply providing a lot or item reference (or better yet, they just know this already, it’s so simple for them to do this - basic e-commerce) and also you have to remember the amount paid, which means bouncing around different platforms and French invoices. I’d also add that most of the sellers are using insecure banking platforms to collect payments, as a result Barclays, Barclaycard also and various other UK banks will block the transaction for security risk. This has happened on more than 50% of purchases for me. Secondly to collect items you have to bring not just a payment receipt but a “paid invoice” which means you also have to pay your items days in advance because someone has to manually create and send you the paid invoice- again all in French. I understand French is the primary language, but this entire thing can be done by a computer and automatically translated. It’s 2026 guys. Take a leaf out of Auctionnets books, 10x better. Also shipping is a total nightmare and mega expensive (at least 5-10x more than standard retail shipping) If it wasn’t for the quality of stock, I’d be forced to never use this platform out of pure frustration. It’s honestly insane how difficult it is to get anything done.

Nul - enchère drouotlive non prise en compte!
Nul - vous faites une enchère sur drouotlive et drouotlive vous dit « pour vous » et le commissaire priseur fait comme si vous n’avez fait aucune enchère. Lot adjugé à l’enchère inférieure alors que votre enchère était supérieure. La salle des ventes dit que l’incrément etait de 200 alors que je n’ai fait que valider l’incrément proposé par drouotlive qui était de 100 euros supérieure à l’enchère précédente faite au téléphone. La salle des ventes me dit qu’au final il vaut «mieux passer par le téléphone ». GÉNIAL!!! À éviter si vous ne voulez pas louper des enchères! Vente ARTFLOW ENCHÈRES du 29/07/2026
