Very disappointing experience.
Very disappointing experience. I contacted this clinic to arrange an in-person consultation during my visit to Istanbul. I was interested in discussing surgery, but before any consultation with the surgeon or any proper assessment, I was simply told, "Your BMI is over 32 now. You should lose weight first." I found Furkan's communication unprofessional, dismissive, and lacking empathy. Patients seeking cosmetic or reconstructive surgery are often already struggling with their weight or body image. Being told to "lose weight" without any explanation, compassion, or discussion is not the way a patient should be treated. No one explained why I was not suitable for surgery, whether this was a strict clinic policy, whether it applied to all procedures, or whether there were any alternatives. I wasn't even asked if i am interested in other procedure ( I wanted mummy makeover) I could have been enquiring about a breast reduction or lipedema surgery rather than a full mommy makeover. I explained that I had already undergone gastric sleeve surgery and had also tried weight-loss injections without success, but there was no discussion, no advice, and no attempt to offer a consultation with the surgeon. The response was simply that surgery was not possible. If a clinic has BMI limits, that's completely understandable. Patient safety should always come first. However, patients deserve a professional explanation, respectful communication, and guidance on what options may be available instead of a blunt refusal. I sincerely hope no other woman who is already struggling with her weight has to experience this type of communication. A little empathy and professionalism can make a huge difference. This review is much more likely to be taken seriously because it criticizes the communication and process rather than making accusations that can't be verified.

I had surgery 7 days ago with Dr Ayse and her team, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience. I had been liaising with her patient coordinator, Furkan, for nearly 12 months before my surgery. Throughout that time, he answered every single question I had with patience and kindness, right up until I landed in Istanbul and even when I needed help getting home. All of my transfers were organised, on time, and made the whole journey completely stress-free. When I arrived at the hospital, Furkan took me through all of my pre-operative checks and paperwork, answering any questions I had. I was given plenty of time to read through everything properly, and I found the information very clear and informative. The paperwork was exactly what I would expect for any surgery, whether in the UK or abroad. During my hospital stay, I was incredibly well looked after by everyone I encountered and was provided with three meals a day. The level of care from all the staff at Erdem Hospital was exceptional. Dr Ayse came to see me before surgery and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. She even advised that I didn’t need breast implants, essentially turning down more money because she genuinely believed they weren’t the right choice for my body. That level of honesty and professionalism meant so much to me. She cared about achieving the best possible result for my shape rather than selling unnecessary procedures, and I have so much respect for that. I had an extended tummy tuck, 360 liposuction, and a breast lift with reduction. I am absolutely blown away by the results. They have exceeded every expectation I had, and I’m so glad I spent so long researching before choosing Dr Ayse and her team. After my surgery, I was looked after by Ebrar, and I honestly don’t know where to begin. She is one of the kindest, most caring people I have ever met. I had four lymphatic drainage massages with her, and I genuinely believe they played a huge part in how well my recovery has gone. Her knowledge, experience and attention to detail were incredible, and she always knew exactly what my body needed. She explained everything she was doing, answered every question, and constantly checked that I was comfortable. When I moved to the hotel after four days in hospital, Ebrar came to see me every single day. She helped me with my first showers, carried out my lymphatic drainage massages with so much care, and gave me reassurance and encouragement every step of the way. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble for her. She made me feel safe, cared for and supported during what is a very vulnerable time, and I honestly don’t think my recovery would have been anywhere near as smooth without her. I’ve never experienced care like I received from Dr Ayse, Furkan, Ebrar and all of the staff at Erdem Hospital. I had my first lymphatic drainage massage back in the UK today with a nurse who has worked in the industry for over 30 years, and she was blown away by both the quality of Dr Ayse’s work and how well my recovery is progressing. I am forever grateful to Dr Ayse, Furkan, Ebrar and the entire team. I’m only 7 days post-op, but I’m already absolutely obsessed with my new body. Thank you all so much for making this such an amazing experience.

5 days post op of a mummy makeover SO impressed
I am 5 days post op of a mummy make over by DR Ayse Kalay, and the whole experience from when I first got in touch with my care co ordinator FURKAN has been nothing short of amazing from start to finish, Furkan is such a vital part of gaining the trust as someone first time having cosmetic surgery and in another country is a scary thought, there’s really no need. Furkan is so attentive doesn’t matter the time he will get back to you so quickly, very helpful with information and nothing is too much! I have found that with the whole team from furkan the care co to the private nurses BURCIN an her team are absolutely incredible, so caring, they go above and beyond for you and after your first massage you feel like a completely different person it’s a real turn around in your recovery. A special shout out to them ladies the whole team because they really have reassured and helped me so much. Lastly but most importantly dr Ayse, wow. This surgeon has magic hands! Her skill is unbelievable my results have genuinely been life changing and I’m only 5 days post op and still very swollen and will be for a long time but even with the swelling I’m absolutely thrilled. Dr Ayse has come and checked on Me twice after my surgery to make sure everything is ok and changed my dressings. That little touch means so much. You can tell she really cares! Il be sad to leave Istanbul I feel it will always have a special place in my heart, the experience I’ve had has been second to non. From the transfers organised by Furkan and everything. The nurses going to the shop for you to get you essentials which will help with your swelling ect and probiotic yogurt drinks the little caring things just go such a long way!!! Also I’d like to mention Ebrar, she is very truthful and funny, was making me laugh before and after surgery, such a friendly face, come up to my hospital room as I was being transferred to the hotel/ apartment to help bring my bags down an helped me into the trf taxi. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH DR AYSE and your incredible team you all work so well together at making such an amazing unforgettable experience for your patients.

1 week post op and am delighted with my experience! From the moment I contacted her medical assistant Furkan, 18 months ago to today - I have been really impressed with the entire service. Dr Ayse and her specialist nurse Embrar are very special, caring and compassionate. Furkan kept me informed with all my questions and requests. All VIP transfers, hospital and hotel stays were coordinated beautifully and there was no worry or stress. I would highly recommend for your Mommy Makeover.

Mummy makeover
I had my mummy makeover surgery on 3rd February.. after wanting this surgery for 10 years plus I finally found Dr Ayse, after my friend used her a year prior to my surgery. From start to finish everything went well, I cannot fault the team or Dr Ayse. I am so happy with my results and get compliments regularly on my shape I have never had an hour glass figure! I am so happy thank you all.
