June 28, 2026 I ordered 3 digital books with 1 physical copy. The total amount came to $124.09. Upon checking my credit card balance I noticed that a couple hours after this initial transaction there was another charge for $54.63. I inquired and Jhon responded: "We use these authorizations to validate your selected method of payment. The temporary hold created by any authorization does not cause your payment method to be charged, but the amount of the hold might count against your credit limit or available balance for up to 8 days depending on your financial institution. I apologize for any confusion that the order process may have caused." I responded with photos of accounts and charges to show clearly that it is in no way a hold but an actual charge that has been processed and I want a refund. Today is July 17, I have reached out 4 times total and have yet to hear anything. So I have been charged without my consent and still trying to get it refunded which to me seems like a very quick process for any normal customer service team to process. The functionality of the site for playing D&D is wonderful, but the customer service is atrocious. Probably horribly understaffed. If you can avoid purchasing physical items through them it might be worthwhile as the combo of digital and physical was simply too much for them to process. Very disappointed. Considering BBB.

Bought a book off their app and for some reason the app doesnt recognize the purchase, despite taking my payment. I've tried submitting a support ticket and contacting customer support but have had no luck in getting a response.

Purchased digital content only not have it unlocked on my account, not only that but I didn’t receive an order number or confirmation email. So it’s like my order doesn’t exist. They’ve taken the payment though. I’ve emailed there customer services with no reply. So as it stands they’ve just stolen from me. Looking into it looks likes this happens a lot. So I’d advise against purchasing any digital content. *update* Took 6 days for them to look into it but the issue has been resolved with minimal effort.

You buy a book and you can´t simply download it. You have to install their app, no Pdj or anything for you to own. The VTT is clunky, unintuitive and you have to buy stuff to properly use it, no matter if you already bougth a subscription. This is never detailed beforehand on the website. No option for refunds either. It´s basically a scam in my eyes.

I signed up because some friends said I need it to join their P&P games but we never actually played, so I deleted my account again. That was roughly 2 years ago and to this day, I get flooded with promotional E-Mails every week (it makes 90% of all mails I get in this account). After I informed them that they are breaking EU-law by doing so, they asked if I can give them personal information to prove who I am. I informed them again, there is no asking for stuff, according to the law, if I send an E-Mail, telling them to stop, THEY HAVE TO DO SO! But they never did! So now I am working on a report for the authorities. For those who don't know, these are considered serious violations here and they are very easy to prove (flooded Mailbox). This could cost them up to 50.000€ in fines, PER PERSON!), so if you live in the EU and they do the same to you (or anything illegal really), I suggest reporting them too, this nonsense has to stop. So yea, I cannot say anything else in regards to the service since all they ever did to me was flooding my mailaccount with promotion-mails. But since one should avoid using services provided by potential criminals in general, I guess you can tell if I would recommend D&DB to you. If I get updates from the authorities, I'll report back here.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
