Never sell shares via this Stone Age company
There are over 2000reviews with an average score of 1.8 . What does that tell you. And no responses from the company! Why any serious company would use them defies logic . This company is Stone Age and incredibly inefficient and deceitful . I’ve held some shares via them for many years and decided to sell them on 24 AUGUST, to be told that settlement is T+10! Normal trades on FTSE are T+2 . Then on settlement they tell me that the funds will be in my account “within three to 5 working days depending on the receiving bank “ .Strange how i can transfer funds with immediate receipt by beneficiary? So, based on my sale on 24 August, it could be 21 days (not working days ) of lost interest to me, but interest gained for them . Outrageous . NEVER sell shares via this company .

They make you jump through hoops for years.
TOD means didly squat to them. We have fighting this for over 3 years. Our mother had 3 accounts with them and they have only paid out 1. If you know anyone still living that has accounts with computershare, tell them to cash them out and invest somewhere else.

extremey difficult to work with
extremey difficult to work with. Sent in a medallion certified intent to sell order, they sold 1/4 of a share 3 days after the date listed on the certified sell order, then told me that the intent to sell letter and the shares held did not match and i would need to resubmit. I never authorized them to sell the a fraction of a share. No notice was provided and I was told it was a 3-4 week processing time to complete the order as well. This is on behalf of a business entity

Sold out of my stock 4 companies due to…
Sold out of my stock 4 companies due to poor service. Sold out on the 5th did not get my checks until the 24th 19 days. Open the evenlope the correct way barely ripping the checks now i have to order more. If you are counting on computer shares to fix the problem. Pigs will Fly first most put important things in an interior envelope so they are protected. Terrible Service means Terrible Company. Now I am being told it will be September 5 so one month later. If you need your money for any reason dont expect computer shares to get it to you in a reasonable amount of time. Because of computer shares I am borrowing money to pay my rent. I sold out on the 5th. At the most I should have had my money by the 10th not 30 days later. Would not, Could not recommend to any friends, or family PERIOD! In fact if asked I would encourage others to Sell Out and get a broker much much faster service and better service I presume things could not have gone worse.

Avoid Computershare
If possible, avoid doing business with Computershare. This company puts up as many unnecessary customer roadblocks as possible. I've had so much difficulty at every turn - spending literal hours on hold, waiting for a verification code to arrive in the physical mail, needing to obtain a Medallion Signature Guarantee stamp at the bank, having to send a physical form to sell shares...it's truly ridiculous. In financial transactions with other providers (banks, Amex, Charles Schwab, etc.), I've *never* had anywhere close to this level of difficulty and inconvenience. I'm currently on hold - again - and am writing this review after spending 30+ minutes waiting for a response from an agent on their chat - after logging into my account and supplying all of my identifying information. I've also tried calling and requesting a call back. My next step is moving all money out of this account ASAP. I never want to have to deal with them again.
