I’ve used Codefling for quite some time, and while there are certainly some genuinely talented developers and quality products on the platform, my recent experience has made me seriously question its priorities. The platform seems increasingly focused on policing how developers create their software, particularly the use of AI as a development tool, rather than focusing on what should actually matter to customers: product quality, maintenance, bug fixes, compatibility and support. I have no problem with having reasonable standards around AI-generated content. What I do have a problem with is treating responsible use of AI for things like debugging, proofreading, research, or speeding up development as a bigger concern than developers who release expensive products, leave bugs unresolved, stop providing updates, or simply disappear while customers are left dealing with the consequences. From a customer perspective, I would much rather buy a well-tested, properly maintained product created with the assistance of AI than a completely human-written product that is poorly maintained and receives little or no support. Ironically, if an AI were responsible for maintaining some of the plugins currently available on the platform, I honestly believe it would do a better job than some of the developers currently responsible for them. At least it would probably answer when someone reports a bug.:) The recent interaction I had with Codefling also left me with the impression that the platform is becoming unnecessarily rigid and bureaucratic over issues that have little to do with the actual quality of the products being sold. A marketplace should be protecting its customers from abandoned, broken and poorly maintained products. It should encourage developers to provide proper support and meaningful updates. That seems far more important to me than trying to determine whether a developer used AI somewhere in their development workflow. There are good developers and good products on Codefling, but if the platform continues moving in this direction, I’m not convinced its future is particularly bright. I genuinely hope the team reconsiders its priorities before the platform's policies become more of a problem than the problems they are supposedly trying to solve.

Those "discounts" on very expensive plugins are just for show; they inflate the selling price to make it look like a discount, and they split a single plugin's features into five separate parts to sell them individually. It's a terrible situation! The key thing is that this site acts as a guarantor for you; others might sell plugins, but if you don't pay your dues to the site owner, they won't vouch for you or defend your rights.

I've been selling my plugins on Codefling since 2020, and my experience has been consistently positive. As a developer, what matters most to me is that the platform actually cares about creators: payouts are reliable, the fee structure is fair, and the staff is responsive whenever I've had a question. The review/moderation process for uploaded products is reasonable and keeps the overall quality of the marketplace high. The community around Codefling is active — customers leave feedback, report issues directly, and the built-in support/discussion system makes it easy to stay in touch with buyers. After five years I can honestly say it's the best platform I've worked with for selling game server plugins. Recommended both for developers and for server owners looking for quality content.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
