‘Finding Peace in Learning Candle Making’

I loved every part of this course - I felt very calm studying and learning about the science, and art of candle making. I took this course to continue my journey in finding peace after losing our son last year. I’ve explored candle making at home, through self taught. However, I wanted to gain knowledge to be able to understand and produce candles safely and confidently for others to enjoy. Candle Shack has delivered an excellent course and I would highly recommend it as I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I am excited to get started and creating beautiful candles. Thank you

Quality product.

Quality product. Having used a wax melting cauldron in the past, I decided to give this a try. I'm so glad I did, it is an amazing product for my small batch candle making. So easy to use and I can make my small batches much quicker and efficiently. I love the mixing of fragrance and (colour) part as it mixing the fragrance much more efficiently. Highly recommended

I placed my order on 3 August. Orders are normally processed within 1–2 working days, and my previous orders arrived in Sweden within 4–5 days. When I received no dispatch information, I contacted them. On 10 August, I was told the order would be dispatched within 24–48 hours. Didn’t get any information, so I had to write again and On 18 August, after they explained that internal technical issues had caused the delay, I was told my order would be prioritised and dispatched Monday or Tuesday. It is now Saturday, with no tracking or further update. Email replies can take over a week, so I have repeatedly had to chase them. I ordered early for an upcoming fair because the candles need time to be made and cure. Almost three weeks later, the delay is affecting my business. Extremely disappointing communication and service.

Very disappointed with Candle Shack!!

Very disappointed with my experience with Candle Shack. I ordered 22.68 kg of Golden Wax 464 and paid £157.84 but when I opened the box months later while preparing my autumn candle collection I discovered I had been sent Golden Wax 494 instead. I still have the original Candle Shack shipping box and label showing the incorrect product, as well as my order confirmation showing what I purchased. I understand customers are expected to check deliveries within 28 days and I accept that I should have checked sooner. However, this was not a change of mind or a return request I received a product I did not order. I contacted Candle Shack hoping they would consider the circumstances and offer a goodwill solution. Despite providing evidence and explaining the situation, my request was declined because it was outside their reporting timeframe. What disappointed me the most was that no responsibility was acknowledged for the incorrect product being sent. Mistakes can happen on both sides we are all human but I believe a fair solution would have been to share the responsibility rather than leave the customer to absorb the entire loss. As a small candle business just starting out, £157.84 is a significant amount of money. I now have to purchase the correct wax again, creating an unexpected extra expense at a crucial time for my autumn collection. Unfortunately, this experience has left me feeling that there was no real customer service or willingness to find a fair solution. The way this situation was handled has been extremely disappointing and unacceptable!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear how disappointing this situation has been, and we appreciate you taking the time to explain your concerns. The order in question was placed in October 2025, and the product supplied was identified on the label on the outside of the parcel. We appreciate that the discrepancy was unfortunately only noticed some months later. Our policy asks customers to report any issues with their delivery within 28 days, which gives us the opportunity to investigate promptly and resolve any issues while the relevant order and delivery information can be verified. Had this been brought to our attention within the 28-day reporting period, we would have been very happy to investigate and, if the incorrect product had been sent, replace it without any issue. Unfortunately, approximately nine months have now passed since the order was delivered. While we understand the circumstances and appreciate that this is disappointing, we are no longer able to make an exception to our reporting policy on this occasion. We do take reports of incorrect deliveries seriously, and we’re sorry that we were unable to reach the resolution you had hoped for. We would always encourage customers to check their deliveries on receipt so that, should anything not be as expected, we have the opportunity to put it right as quickly as possible.
