Do not waste your money or time
Do not waste your money or time. Would give 0 stars but sadly not an option. Travelled with my elderly mum and 10 year old nephew. Upon arrival the staff were extremely rude, completely ignored the waiting customers for over 30 mins. Would not accept my payment card as was not labelled ‘credit’ on the card, when my mum offered her credit card they refused as it was not in the same name. Their response was ‘you have a problem’ I then quickly called gotcarrentals who were I guess the broker for the hire car, who advised they could let me take out a local insurance which would mean I could use a debit card, once again caldera refused, while being very rude in their manner and tone. I then asked if we could cancel the booking and I would take out a new one with them meaning I could use a debit card. They refused again saying they didn’t have a car for me to hire, I explained they did as I was there to pick one up? They then told me they had no car for me…… even though I still had a booking for the car. It felt like a strange scam but they honestly couldn’t have been more awful. So it ended up with us all stranded at 10pm over 45 miles and an hours drive in a car or taxi which when travelling with elderly and children is an awful situation to be in. Please, please avoid Caldera car hire, they do not deserve anyone’s hard earned money. Awful company, rudest staff which is unfortunate as all the Greek people we have met prior to them have been so kind and helpful. Just the worst experience I would hate for someone else to have this happen to them. Disgusting, unacceptable, abhorrent, vile and shameful.

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THEM!! I do not recommend this company to anyone. We arrived at the location at our scheduled time, but the office was CLOSED. I took a photo of this and tried several times to reach the company at the phone numbers provided, but there was no response. Because of this, we had to take a taxi back to our accommodation, at an extra cost, late at night. We went back the next morning, when an employee there told us in an unacceptably rude manner that we couldn’t pick up our car because our reservation was for yesterday. I tried to explain to him that since they weren’t open yesterday, we were forced to pick it up today. The employee replied that they had been open, so what we were saying wasn’t true. Even though I have photographic evidence of the location, the phone calls, etc., they still turned us away, and we haven’t received a refund from Booking yet. No one should ever book here!!!!!! It was one of the worst experiences of our lives.

Une catastrophe qui ne fait que confirmer la très mauvaise note relevée (trop tard...) sur tous les sites: navette Introuvable a l'arrivée a l'aéroport. Prise en charge, ok même si l'accueil est rustique...Golf, on se retrouve en Peugeot 301...1 barre sur le carburant...passons. Restitution du véhicule (lavé, nickel...): la il nous trouve une rayure sur le oar choc arrière droit (6cm) ...évidemment pas vue a la prise du véhicule (poussiéreux): total = 450€ facturés (sinon menace de ne pas nous rembourser la caution de 750) ...et nous disent d'arrêter de ́nous plaindre: c'est l'assurance Booking qui paiera! Des escrocs...pas d'autres termes.

WARNING!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CAR INSURANCE COMPANY!!!! CREDIT CREDIT SCAM! Wi-Fi problems prevent PIN entry, resulting in an incorrect PIN being displayed, and you're reluctant to enter your PIN a third time to avoid having your card blocked! You leave the car rental agency without a car, standing in the blazing sun with your wife and children!!!!!!! VORSICHT!!!! FINGER WEG VON DIESER Autoversicherung!!!! BETRUG MIT Kreditkarten! WLAN Probleme lassen die Pin Eingabe nicht zu so dass falscher Pin erscheint und man dann kein drittes mal seinen Pin eingeben möchte um eine Kartensperrung zu vermeiden! Man verlässt die Autovermietung ohne Auto in der prallen Sonne mit Frau und Kinder!!!!!!!

Finger weg! Ich kam als Alleinreisende mitten in der Nacht an. Bei Besichtigung ging die Angestellte mit ihrer Taschenlampe genau so, dass ein Kratzer an der hinteren Ecke der Stoßstange quasi Anfangs- und Endpunkt ihrer Rundum-Tour bildete und so nie beleuchtet wurde und daher auch nicht auf meinem Rundum-Video war. Beim Zurückgeben hatte ich noch nicht mal die Handbremse gezogen, als schon ein Mitarbeiter angesprungen kam, der mich fragte, wo der Kratzer hinten herkommt. Fast 400 € wurden für einen offensichtlich uralten Kratzer von meiner Kreditkarte eingezogen. Gott sei Dank hatte ich eine Vollkasko-Versicherung von Check24, die den Fall großartig geklärt haben, und ich erhielt mein Geld zurück. FINGER WEG von dieser Vermietung!
