We spoke with someone over messages who claimed to be the owner, we asked for information and we ended up arranging to adopt 2 horses (one for me for one month and one for my sister for several months). He canceled last minute, and said no one else could receive us except him, but not until the following week. When my sister brought up that we found listings with negative reviews online, he became defensive and rude. He began calling her by a different and insisted she was someone else entirely, which was very strange and disrespectful. During the conversation, he admitted they were "having problems recently" but he insisted that if we wanted to know more about the rescue horses we should still come. That just made us feel more uncomfortable, specially since he refused to give us clear details. After reading more reviews, including concerns about how the animals are treated, and seeing in Google Maps with this same name of business that is permanently closed, we decided it was best not to go. Everything became so confusing and we asked him to cancel our visit. If they are truly having problems, they should not take it out on people who came with good intentions and were genuinely interested in supporting the place. We strongly recommend looking for a different place that treats both animals and people with more respect and transparency. This was indeed our personal experience, this happened to us, and others should be aware.

I had an unsettling experience. The person I was in contact, whose name apparently is Tamer, consistently called me by the wrong name of a female assuming that I was this third person, but we don't have any idea who that female is. He canceled our visit without warning because he was insisting that my sister and I should come in person to his business only if he was there, which of course felt pushy and uncomfortable. I asked if someone else could receive us and he said that only the grooms would be there, but he wanted to be there when we were there. What's worse, he failed to mention that there is diverse negative reviews that I later found from other clients who described similar discomfort. It seems this information was intentionally hidden or avoided. I asked him if he could share with us about the rescue horses because our plan was to "adopt" 2 of the horses from this stable, however we were mention that only this information could be shared if we were there in person. There is so many serious red flags here that shouldn't be ignored. I find it incredibly irresponsible to withhold important information and pressure people into visits under false pretenses. I would strongly advise other to do their own research and be cautious.

I visited this place named Cairo Horse Riding School with a friend, and were both extremely disturbed by the condition of the horses and how they were treated. Many of the horses have visible ribs and signs of poor care. What was even more upsetting was the behavior of the guide, a young man. He was constantly yelling and aggressively whipping the horse he was riding, even when it was clearly trying its best. It was heartbreaking to witness and made the entire experience incredibly uncomfortable for us. We had hoped for a peaceful and respectful interaction with the animals, but instead, we left feeling distressed and guilty. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone who cares about animal welfare, and we will definitely not be returning. Please, if management sees this, DO BETTER FOR THESE ANIMALS. They deserve kindness, care and dignity.

I was in Cairo as a tourist and I wanted to find a nice place where to do horse riding. I went to the stable named Cairo Horse Riding School in Abusir. When I arrived I saw the horses and they looked really skinny and tired:( The conditions in general werent also appropiate These horses deserve so much better

As a horse lover, I was not comfortable riding at Cairo Horse Riding School. I was expecting it to be different from the places by the pyramids, but in reality it was the same. I’m not ok to be riding an underweight horse, I’m not ok to be riding in a badly fitted saddle, I’m not ok to go on a long ride without a water break for the horse. This place needs to do much better to live up to their advertising of promoting ethical horsemanship.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
