Garmin admits my Venu 2S is faulty—but wants me to pay for another one
My Garmin Venu 2S developed several serious faults after only a few years of normal use: it disconnects from Garmin Connect almost daily, displays intermittent error screens and records extremely inaccurate GPS distances and pace. I completed Garmin’s troubleshooting, provided device information, diagnostic logs and consent for them to access my account. Garmin eventually confirmed in writing that the watch appears to have a hardware-related GPS fault and described its failure to reconnect as “concerning.” However, Garmin did not inspect the watch, cannot explain the fault and says it does not offer repairs. Its only solution is for me to pay £125.38 for a recertified version of the same ageing model, or buy another Garmin with a limited discount. Getting clear answers required repeated emails, and Garmin refused to provide any meaningful further escalation despite being asked for its complaints procedure several times. This is not the first Garmin product I’ve owned that has failed after two or three years. A premium sports watch should remain functional for longer than this, particularly when it has been used normally and Garmin itself believes the problem is hardware-related. Very poor product longevity and an extremely disappointing approach to customer support.

A satnav that doesn't recognise towns
A satnav that doesn't recognise towns, street names or post codes is worthless. If I am in England and searching for a drive destination, why would it give me locations in USA. Scammers. Save yourself hundreds of pounds and just use your phone + Google maps.

Appalling service from Garmin Europe Ltd
I ordered a Garmin Campervan 795 SatNav online from Garmin Europe Ltd, including shipping to my home address. Firstly, the Satnav was delivered to a collection centre by Garmin's shipper, UPS, and then I found the parcel from Garmin was empty upon collection. I submitted video evidence to Garmin that the box was empty when I received it. After their "investigation" over several days, they denied responsibility and asked me to contact the shipper - this contravenes the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (as Garmin were responsible for the shipping). I have been left with no choice but to make a Section 75 of the Sales of Goods Act claim against my credit card company to recover the hundreds of pounds lost to Garmin Europe Ltd. I would not recommend buying Garmin products via this channel again to anyone.
