No One Important
Been a customer for 10 years. With no advance warning, they stopped accepting my payment method. My only one. I'm not a business. After getting out of debt, I got rid of all but one of my credit cards. I'm sure their terms of service allow them to get away with simply dropping my credit card as payment option and then just marking my payment as overdue when the payment doesn't process, but does that seem fair? No advance warning? No other options available? All I want to do is give them money. Their reply: "Nah." What kind of masochistic business are they? If this were the only issue I had with them, I might be inclined to work it out. But time doesn't permit me to go into all the other issues I had with them over the years. There were many! Canceled my account. Good luck to them. They'll need it.

Oh god, what a bloody nightmare. Spending all day just to download some files someone sent me, and I keep getting railroaded into some paid business plan option..

We are ditching BOX after 12 years for our team of 10. It used to work quite well. Well enough to stick with it anyway. But over time technincal issues have crept in and we have discovered that customer service is simply non existent unless you are on a very expensive plan. But even on the lower tarrifs, if a system does not work there needs to be some way of fixing it. As a dysfunctional system is worse than no system at all. In BOX there just is just no way to address techniical issues. The help pages and 'community' are useless, the chat-bots lock you into an infuriating loop of 'try x' when I have already told them 'X' is what we are not able to use. I can't even open a service ticket unless my issues fits their very limited drop down menu of options, Which it doesn't. On 12 years I have previously opened 3 tickets (the last one a few years back) and had rapid resolution by real people. So they are clearly sacking humans and going fully AI when the algorithms make that utterly inefficient. Human contact is ONLY available for sales. And even when I tried that thinking 'fine I'll upgrade to get access to some technical support' I was on hold for an hour. And no doubt the sales person would not have been able to help me anyway. The things that are not working have worked fine for many years and now just don't work for no clear reason eg access being blocked, invitations to collaborate being clicked on multiple times but still showing as pending, and therefore inability to collaborate, being told I can't invite someone because I have reached my limit of seats when she is one of the 10 seats already bought etc etc etc. So I have had enough. And after all this time with a mountain of files to migrate over, the site has to be truly utterly dire for the move to be worth the hassle. And we have now reached that point. Avoid avoid avoid.

Box refused to consider a refund despite no account usage We briefly evaluated Box and then did not use the account for approximately three years. Four of the five purchased seats were never activated, and the fifth had no meaningful activity after the initial evaluation. Despite this, the subscription renewed annually, and we were charged a total of $3,919.52 over that period. Once we discovered the charges, we immediately cancelled the subscription and requested a refund. We acknowledged that Box had sent a renewal reminder but asked whether, given the documented lack of use, they would consider a discretionary exception. We also requested—more than once—that our case be escalated to someone with the authority to review it. Our refund request was denied, and our requests for escalation were also declined. We received the same response citing the annual renewal policy, with no indication that our specific circumstances had been reviewed. Box would not even consider refunding the most recent renewal, despite our cancelling shortly after it renewed and having no intention of using the service. Prospective customers should be aware that Box appears to apply its annual renewal policy very strictly, with little flexibility even in cases where an account has seen virtually no use.

And it does not tells why it can't synchronize or even shows a notification to tell the user about it.

Auch nicht für Geld. Unclaimed ist fair. Claimed gibt das Mikrofon — nicht den Radiergummi.
