Extremely disappointing experience
Extremely disappointing experience with Boostmyshop. We used Boostmyshop for repricing, but the setup and support around our Magento pricing has caused months of frustration. Our Magento back office has always been set up with ex-VAT pricing, which is standard for our B2B website. Despite this being raised clearly in the support ticket in February, prices continued to be incorrect and many products were priced around 20% too high, making us uncompetitive. What has been most frustrating is the handling of the issue afterwards. Instead of acknowledging the timeline properly, the company has repeatedly tried to suggest that the VAT requirement was not made clear until later, even though the February ticket shows it was discussed directly. Their own team also later confirmed in June that they had “created a rule to always exclude VAT” before sending the final price to our website, which suggests the correction was only made at that point. Support has been slow, inconsistent, and at times contradictory. We were also locked out or unable to properly access parts of the dashboard, making it difficult to check or correct pricing ourselves. The impact on our business has been significant, with products being overpriced for months and manual work required to identify and correct issues. I appreciate that technical issues can happen, but the lack of accountability has been very disappointing. Rather than accepting that the setup was not working correctly for our requirements during the affected period, they have relied on later logs from after the fix was applied to argue that everything was working correctly. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Boostmyshop unless you are prepared to closely audit every price yourself and keep detailed records of every support conversation.
