Untrustworthy
I cancelled a subscription after years of getting boxes. Even with emails from the company stating it was cancelled, I was continually charged. The company will not give a full refund. Untrustworthy. Do not subscribe.

Very disappointing BOKKUS Snack Box
Reply to BOKKUS: Our previous complaint remains AS IS! The BOKKUS BOX is red and clearly with prints of Snack Box on outside. Inside the red box, a statement of “CRAVING MORE? SHOP THESE SNACKS AT “ is inside the left rectangular gold-color frame at the bottom left of the interior of the lid AND inside the right-side rectangular gold-color frame at the bottom right of the interior of the lid, there’s a statement of “BOOKUS(dot)COM/BOUTIQUE”. We received a disappointed BOKKUS Snack box and a beautiful Satsumarchetea box. The Satsumarchetea box contained beautifully arranged forty nine (49) Satsumarchetea-brand tea bags of seven different types. However we were stunned to find out that there were no Japanese snacks inside the BOKKUS Snack Box that was dropped shipped by our daughter in Virginia, USA. BOKKUS box was stuffed with unrecognizable, odd-size, different-shaped, soon-to-expired tea bags with Japanese characters. We are currently working in Taiwan. Today we found on BBB website: “Bokksu (bokksu.com), the Japanese snack subscription service, is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. However, the BBB maintains a business profile for the company where customers can view complaint history and read or leave reviews.”

The snacks were a mix, the customer service is garbage
The snacks were a mix, some good but many are stale. I cancelled the my plan but they charged me again several months later. They never processed a refund and when I filed a chargeback they fought it and emailed me telling me to close my case then they would refund me. I still have no refund. Dishonest company.

Bokksu always comes through
Bokksu always comes through. Sometimes it takes a bit to receive the monthly box but if there are any issues they resolve them quickly. They do care about the quality and happiness of their customers. Still the best Japanese snack box subscription by far! Thank you Bokksu for always giving me something to look forward to monthly.

Very well packed, curated and organized.
Bought a 6mo subscription for $190. After shipping to the USA from Japan, it came out to about $300, which equals out to about $50 per box. Each box is different, with a unique theme. For instance, in March, that's the start of spring and their Cherry Blossom season. I got a beautiful pink box with cherry blossoms on it, with a bunch of snacks and deserts that revolved around the season, some were even pink. After 6 mo of boxes, we found no duplicate snacks. But, you may get 2 of the same snacks in box if they're small, so it's easier to share with family/friends. Some of the snacks are very decadent, richly sweet and extremely delicious. Some are savory/umami. Some just didn't agree with our pallets, but I personally enjoyed about 90-95% of it all. Each box included a themed tea, and let me tell you, it's DEFINITELY better than your typical Celestial Seasons bagged tea we're used to in the USA. They include a paper with all the ingredients IN ENGLISH for each product, so if you're ALLERGY CONSCIOUS, this is for you. Then, they include a nicely printed booklet of your months snack box, describing the season and each type of food, how it's prepared and served and what it's enjoyed with. It's sort of like you have a little Japanese snack tour guide, guiding you through the tastings. Going to try some other countries boxes for now, but I can definitely say it was a great experience and I'm sure I'll buy another subscription one day. Thank you everyone at Bokksu. -Kyle F
