Very easy to use on my recent trip to…
Very easy to use on my recent trip to Europe and had two great experiences. It is such a breath of fresh air after having used Couchsurfing for years. I also tried Trustroots but there is literally nobody there. BeWelcome is clearly the winner for Europe!

Scamming hosting website/application
Such a really really poor scamming website/application BeWelcome is damn.Many people who are presenting themselves as hosts are usually lying,when it comes to it,none of those hosts is willing to host someone at all.Profiles in the BeWelcome websites/application are inactive,but being shown as active.The poor lack of customer service BeWelcome has,is to cry about even.Without any valid reasons or without any explanation whenever you're trying to login,it's not possible,being blocked without any reason,NEVER EVER even any simple reply or answer back from the BeWelcome team even.this website/application is a big scamming website/application then you can imagine.

A stellar platform that always remains free
As a member of many years I've always found the community on this hospitality platform to be the best of all. The point of difference seems to be how devoted the members as well as the volunteers are in keeping it safe, trustworthy and above all enjoyable to use. After Couchsurfing wrecked its platform some weeks ago I decided it was high time to praise BeWelcome for its many years of offering a stellar platform at no cost.

Great community, awful volunteers handling it
The community, wonderful. The volunteers, however, in their majority have a total lack of empathy and are ruled by a Board of Directives that is more worried about imposing their will and exercising unchecked power than in helping the users of the platform. I´ve had my account suspended for suppossed violations of the Terms of Use that, after many (many) emails I finally managed to get them to clarify and it´s absolutely false. They claim I was spamming messages, which is not true at all. I did receive a warning for sending invitations (which does goes against the terms, unbeknownst to me at the time), but after the warning I stopped and that I can prove. It is to be understood that, if they send a warning, they give a second chance, and I did not commit any violations afterwards. I appealed the decision to the Board and the appeal got rejected with no transparency as to how the process was nor any adressing to any of the claims I made in the appeal. Just a simple we do not agree. Then, after months of asking them for my data, I finally got it and, surprise surprise, now I can 100% guarantee I made no violations at all, since I literally have my messages right in front of me and I now have evidence of what I was claiming this whole time. Nonetheless, they still refuse to even answer to me to restore my account. It´s been literal months of communication and from their end there has only been either ignorance or simply disregard to any of the claims and arguments I made in my emails. It´s honestly pretty sad and dissapointing that what is the biggest free solidarity hosting platform is being overtaken by this kind of people with so little regard for helping the community. As of right now, if you´re looking for a platform in which solidarity and empathy are values that are fostered and appreciated, you won´t find any of that from most of the volunteers of the platform, who will refuse to help or even simply ignore your complaints.

Only good experiences
I have met so many nice people over the years, hosting and also staying myself in dozens of countries. I find BeWelcome easy to use on my laptop as well as on the smartphone. I have made only good experiences contacting and inviting only members with a reasonably filled profile and a clear profile picture. The feedback system is better than on other sites because you can see the feedback of both members in the form of paired comments side-by-side.
