UK customers: import costs are not made clear at checkout I placed an order for £178.25 through BALOLO’s UK-facing website, priced in pounds and offering free delivery. Only after ordering did the invoice state that this was a “tax-exempt export delivery,” meaning German VAT had been removed and UK import VAT, together with a Parcelforce clearance fee, would be collected separately before delivery. To anticipate BALOLO’s standard response: I understand that UK import VAT is imposed by HMRC and that BALOLO does not control Parcelforce’s clearance fee. That is not the point. BALOLO controls its checkout experience and how clearly the likely final cost is disclosed before a customer commits to buying. A generic statement buried in the shipping policy saying that customs charges “may apply” is inadequate, particularly when the company is clearly aware, from numerous previous UK reviews, that these charges routinely apply to orders over £135. The checkout should prominently state that the displayed price excludes UK VAT and clearance charges, ideally with an estimated landed cost. Better still, BALOLO could offer a duties-paid service so UK customers see and pay one final price. The products are excellent, but receiving an unexpected demand from Parcelforce before delivery undermines the buying experience. UK customers should budget approximately another 25–35% above the displayed checkout price unless BALOLO improves its process. This is not a complaint about having to pay legitimate UK VAT. It is a complaint about transparency and allowing customers to make an informed decision before placing their order. UPDATE: £62.55 customs charge.

Game Changer
I recently purchased a Large Set-up Cockpit to replace the desk shelf that originally came with my desk. The Balolo set up cockpit is a real game changer for me: It’s beautifully made, the walnut matches my existing desk very well, it’s the perfect size for my desk, and the modular system for attaching accessories are amazing. I’m currently running two laptops, one for work and one for home so I’ve got my personal laptop mounted on the laptop stand as a second display on the left side of my desk, the monitor in the middle, and my work laptop on the right. This really cleans up my desk surface and allows me to swap between work and home very seamlessly. The set up cockpit was a great purchase and I would not hesitate to buy it again.

Quick shipping and very high quality products
Yes their products are a more expensive but really worth it. Everything is very nicely packaged and shipped quickly. Besides the packaging the products themselves are awesome too. Very well thought out design and they give you all the screws and tools you need. I had a small hickup with my order (mistake on my end) which was very swiftly resolved by their great customer support. Overall very happy and I will definitely come back for more.
