An experience that changes the way you dance 🥹🪩🌴
Amazing! This Bachata Camp transformed the way I perceive dancing and music. Maria is truly contagious with her passion, energy and love for bachata, and everything runs so smoothly despite all the complex logistics behind an event like this. You can really feel how much heart and work goes into creating the whole experience. I also have to mention the incredible variety of dance coaches. Having the opportunity to learn from so many different dancers, each with their own style, energy and way of teaching, and then going to the local parties, made the learning experience incredibly rich and inspiring. It gave me the chance to discover different sides of bachata and, at the same time, find my own way of expressing myself through the dance. A special mention also goes to Teo and Morena from Castillo Romano, who are incredibly welcoming and create such a warm and friendly environment. And of course, Raúl, our wonderful driver, who was always there and made getting around so easy, safe, and stress-free. These little things made the whole experience feel even more special 🤍 But what stayed with me the most is what happened after the camp. When I was leaving the Dominican Republic, I knew I wasn’t taking home only new steps. My entire connection with dancing had changed - and it has continued to grow ever since. Your perception of Dominican bachata, bachata and dancing in general might not be the same when you come back 🥹 Thank you, Maria and Alex, for creating something so special! I hope to see you again somewhere in the world - or back in the DR 😎🪩🌴

Totally worth it☀️
It was an amazing experience:) We had a nice and fun group. It was really well organised, lovely guides/organisers, lively instructors, such fun parties and interesting excursions. I've learned a lot, improved my musicality and body control and fell in love with the roots of bachata music and dance...and of course Morena's food;)

Amazing experience with Bailamar
Bailamar Bachata Camp has been an amazing experience, to the extent I am traveling back again with them soon! Every detail is organized with lots of care and they pay a lot of attention to safety along with fun and culture. Maria and Alex are deeply knowledgeable about bachata history, roots, and culture and approach the teaching in a way that is true and respectful to the local communities. I can’t recommend Bailamar enough!

Bailamar is beautiful
Maria is an excellent group leader. She is very organized and knowledgeable, and that means a lot to me for having a good experience. Bailamar is fun, relaxing, challenging, and beautiful in many ways. It was worth every penny. I learned so much about Dominican bachata and Dominican culture in general. I felt so welcomed by Maria and everyone on her team. The DR is so beautiful and I can't wait to return.

An Unforgettable Dance Adventure in the Dominican Republic!
I spent two incredible weeks in the Dominican Republic this October 2025, and WOW — what an experience! From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth, exciting, and full of joy. I can honestly say this was one of the best trips of my life. We stayed mostly in Las Terrenas, and every day felt like a perfect blend of learning, exploring, and pure fun. Our mornings started with dance classes—bachata, merengue, dembow, son, and bolero—taught by talented local teachers who made every lesson inspiring. In the afternoons we hit beautiful beaches or enjoyed our free time, and by night we were out dancing with locals. The taxi dancers in Las Terrenas were amazing—always making sure we got on the dancefloor and had the time of our lives! Our villa was another highlight. We had our wonderful private chef Morena, who cooked delicious Dominican meals every day (I definitely came home heavier but SO happy!). And Teo, who looked after the villa and was always up for a chat, made the whole place feel like home, and Raúl our driver always with a smile on his face, made sure we arrive everywhere safe. The trip was perfectly organised thanks to Maria and Luis. They are absolute stars—attentive, caring, fun, and always on top of everything. I felt safe, supported, and completely looked after the entire time. You can tell they truly love what they do. We also went on several excursions. In Santo Domingo, despite hurricane season, we danced, explored the city, and even took the cable car for the most breathtaking views. In Santiago, we joined Son de Keka, a lively street party that became one of my favourite moments of the whole trip. The locals were so welcoming—it felt like we were part of the community. In Jarabacoa, the mountain town, we stayed in a beautiful house and even went to a Merengue Típico concert. And on our way back to Las Terrenas we stopped at a chocolate farm, learned the full process of making chocolate, and made our own bars to bring home. Looking back, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I learned so much, danced every single day, ate incredible food, and created memories, met amazing people and also made friends. I truly recommend this trip with Maria. She is wonderfully organised, always keeps everyone informed, adapts to each person’s needs, and treats everyone as unique and special. If this is your first time going to The Caribbeans and want to experience the culture, learn to dance, meet new people, this is your place to be. My dream came true and will definitely be back.
