Do you own your own soundproof booth??
Well, sure, if you own your own sound studio or recording room. But if you’re a normal person, and there might be a car driving by or a bird chirping or something like that, it might be hard for you to pass the silly standards of the ridiculously picky robot overlords.

Absoluter Betrug. Habs bei Indeed gefunden und da stand "110 USD/h". Das stimmt absolut nicht, nicht mal ansatzweise. Außerdem stand da, dass die Bewerbung weniger als 10 Minuten dauert. Auch komplett gelogen. Direkt bei der Bewerbung muss man einen Test machen, und da stehen geschätzte Zeiten dran - die Zeiten ergeben zusammen über 30 min, und so ist das auch. Finger weg von der Abzocke!

YOUR EARNINGS ARE CONTINGENT UPON SOMEONE ELSE SHOWING UP TO TALK.
I was hired with BABEL AUDIO stating I would make $40 an hour. It's $17.50 and you are paid per conversation you have. You can only clock in at 15 minute conversations AND YOU ARE BLOCKED from booking more if THEY DETERMINE YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH FEEDBACK OR SOUND, OR WHATEVER. They ask you to select a number of tasks from 1, 5, 10, or 11. Except You can book 5 tasks, go to converse, and are shut out after 15 minutes. I made $24.30CAN my 1st week (that's $17.38 U.S) & second week the exact same amount. l am doing foreign language- Italian. It is hard to get people to book at the same time. A calendar was given for ease of use and to book slots. Nobody does. Yet all are working so they get hired with friends and determine it amongst themselves and you are left high and dry with nothing. You don't get paid if not talking and your earning is contingent on someone else showing up for conversation. Many people are doing this as really pocket money so if you are looking to do this as a full time or official 30 hour week/part time, good luck. There are the same people making insane money, some people in the English category are booking 36 tasks a day. That's a lot of money and yet we can't get past 1 task a day and that's sometimes even $2.50. The first week went by with NO feedback which I had 5 conversations but then I got locked out- after 5 conversations because feedback flagged me- hence I made the same week one and week 2. The system halted me from scheduling more. If you don't schedule times BECAUSE THERE IS NO ONE BOOKING A TIME SLOT, you GET DEMOTED TO AGAIN 1 TASK OF 15 MINUTES A DAY. I was doing this as a job. I am currently living in my car and I needed the "reliability" of remote work and was hoping to make even at least $400 a week! I am making not even $50 a month!! (imagine Indeed.ca won't even post my review because I actually said I am living in my car.) Truth is many people are now living van life and car life and with a job like Babel Audio, you think it would be great because it's hard to find an affordable apartment. But boy was I wrong! I was then sent a job application which told me to apply as a transcriber. For Italian. This would not require two people but just me and headphones. I thought GREAT! I went to apply. I got to my dashboard and THE JOB DIDN'T APPEAR. WHEN I REACHED OUT TO SUPPORT, I WAS TOLD " IT'S BECAUSE YOU DON'T QUALIFY OTHERWISE IT WOULD SHOW UP." So why send it to me? So I'm not qualifying for conversation & I can't qualify for a single person job which is NOT contingent upon someone else showing up. Then another support agent literally told me to "just log on at peak times when everyone else is on and you'll find someone to chat with." Apparently he's unaware only TWO people can be on at once. So if you log on at peak times, there's a chance you can't get on and those people could be there for an hour. So it's unethical- because you have to wait- so you are fighting to get in line. HE ALSO FAILED TO REALIZE that we are all international so someone's peak time could be my 4 a.m. and I am being told this is normal? I feel like they are taking advantage of people. There are over 4000 people in the English sector and many are frustrated, locked out or experiencing the same thing I am, and BabelAudio keeps advertising jobs and openings -kicking people to the back- who really want to learn and succeed. You are invited to attend weekly meetings or question periods, again unpaid & your time, and then you just sit in front of your computer to what-wait? Except it's not that easy because IF YOU ARE GOING TO TALK, YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE SOUNDPROOFED AND IN A COMPLETELY QUIET AREA, SO IMAGINE THIS SCENARIO.. You are sitting in your office or kitchen writing, doing work and you log on and see someone is logging, you then have to move, you are given time, but you have to go to your "quiet space' ensure you microphone and audio is set up correctly and choose a topic and begin. Except- if there is remotely any white noise, movement or background noise YOU get flagged, your tasks will BE LIMITED again. So you spent your time, getting prepped and ready & booking time out and you could be locked out at one task of 15 minutes a day which equates to $4.38 cents. I think they are unethical as a company. They could stop hiring and focus on helping those already there- to REALLY succeed and perfect. Cons: Very low pay $2.50 to $4.38 day when restricted, Always restricted to one 15-minute task per day, Feedback system can severely limit work opportunities, Poor communication from admin, Slow response times to issues and concerns, Scheduling conversations due to time zones, People not being online simultaneously, Q&A sessions announced last minute, Uncontrollable OUTSIDE noise results in penalties, Impossible performance. Pros: Flexibility. Admin seems nice. Have weekly Q & A periods. Paid WEEKLY!!

Excellent selection process and very well-structured platform
Pros: The application process for AI training projects (specifically for Spanish Transcriber and Voice Actor) is one of the clearest and most professional I've seen. The assessment guides are precise, the platform environment is very intuitive, and they allow you to gauge your skills with practice tests before the final evaluation. As a professional with prior experience in remote transcription and voice recording, I greatly appreciate their high level of detail and quality. The structure of their manuals is very well organized. Cons: The initial test review process is manual and can take a few days, which is understandable given the high volume of applicants, but it creates a lot of anticipation when you have immediate availability. Tip for management: Speed up the response times for candidates who demonstrate technical proficiency in the tests.
