Good products are not enough when after-sales support stops at the warranty
I own a pair of Argon Audio FORTE A4 active speakers. After a few years the active speaker failed completely. As the speakers are out of warranty, I decided to troubleshoot and repair them myself rather than throw away an otherwise perfectly good pair. I managed to narrow the problem down considerably: the main PSU is working and producing the correct supply voltage, while a separate auxiliary/control section appears to have failed. I contacted Argon Audio asking for very limited technical information — not a free repair, not compensation, and not even necessarily a complete schematic. I asked for identification/specifications of a handful of components and basic information about one connector so I could continue the repair safely and accurately. Argon initially referred me to their Swedish service partner, HiFi Klubben. HiFi Klubben's workshop refused to provide the information and instead offered paid service. I then went back to Argon. Their final answer confirmed that the component-level documentation does exist and that service technicians have access to it, but that Argon does not make this information available externally. That is the part I find unacceptable. I fully understand that Argon cannot take responsibility for repairs carried out by customers. But refusing even basic component identification for an out-of-warranty product means the owner is forced either to pay for authorised service or continue troubleshooting based on measurements, markings and educated guesses. For a company selling electronic products, I consider repairability and reasonable technical support part of the product experience. I will continue attempting to repair my speakers rather than turn them into electronic waste, but this experience has made my future purchasing decision very simple: I will not buy another Argon Audio product.

Outstanding product and customer service, thank you Daniel! First of all, the TT-4 MK2 itself is absolutely fantastic. It is beautifully designed, feels extremely well made and premium, and looks even better in person. Most importantly, the listening experience is incredible, the sound quality has genuinely exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. I unfortunately experienced an issue shortly after purchasing it and contacted Argon Audio for support. The whole experience was genuinely excellent. Daniel was incredibly responsive, helpful and professional from the very first message. He took the time to understand the situation, clearly explained my options and quickly found a solution that allowed me to get my turntable up and running again. Communication was fast and personal throughout, the replacement part arrived quickly, and I was able to install it easily. Everything is now working perfectly again. This is exactly the kind of after-sales service that gives you confidence in a brand. A beautiful, high-quality product is one thing, but knowing that there are real people behind it who genuinely care about their customers makes a huge difference. A special thank you to Daniel for going above and beyond to help me. I couldn’t have asked for better support. An amazing turntable backed by outstanding customer service. 5 stars without hesitation!
