Three recalled SPFs destroyed – required another purchase
I genuinely like several Allies of Skin products and continue to buy them despite their high prices. Unfortunately, my experiences with their customer service have repeatedly been extremely disappointing, and the way they handled their recent SPF recall is particularly frustrating. I had three affected tubes of THE ONE SPF 50 Invisible Sunscreen Gel — one larger tube that had been opened and two smaller tubes that were completely new and unopened. Following Allies of Skin's recall instructions, I had to empty and physically cut all three tubes, including the two unopened ones, and submit photographic proof that they had been rendered unusable. Their recall form specifically stated that the remedy would be based on the number of affected tubes they could confirm. My claim for all three tubes was approved. The remedy? One 15 ml Multi Peptides & GF Advanced Lifting Serum. I actually love this serum, so that is not the problem. What I find unacceptable is that Allies of Skin did not simply send me the remedy. I received a coupon that could ONLY be redeemed by placing another online order. So after destroying three products because Allies of Skin recalled them, I was required to spend more money with Allies of Skin just to receive their proposed compensation. I did eventually place an order because I genuinely needed another product and had loyalty points to use. But I should never have been required to make another purchase to receive compensation for a recall that was obviously not my fault. I believe I originally purchased the larger SPF, while the two smaller unopened tubes were received as promotional/free products through previous purchases. Is this perhaps why my claim was treated differently? If so, I would like Allies of Skin to explain that clearly. Those products were still received through my purchases as a loyal customer, and I was required to destroy all three. I am also seeing Allies of Skin publicly state that some customers affected by this recall are receiving refunds via electronic prepaid cards. I would therefore like to know why my three affected products resulted instead in a 15 ml gift conditional upon another purchase. I already emailed customer service asking them to explain how this remedy was determined and expressing my dissatisfaction. I have received no response. Sadly, this is not my first poor customer-service experience with Allies of Skin. Their products can be excellent, but repeatedly making gifts dependent on further spending is already a frustrating part of their sales strategy. Applying essentially the same mechanism to a product recall is, in my opinion, completely inappropriate. A recall remedy should resolve the customer's loss — it should not require the customer to make another purchase!!!

One of my favourite retinal products
I have been using the Allies of Skin 0.1% Retinal & Peptides Advanced Repair Night Cream for quite some time, and it has become one of my favourite skincare products. This is not my first purchase — I keep coming back to it because I really like the formula and the results. With regular use, my skin looks smoother, more even and well cared for, and I can definitely see an improvement in its overall texture. I also appreciate that, despite the high concentration of retinal, the product works very well for my skin when introduced gradually and used correctly. The texture is pleasant, it fits easily into my evening routine, and a small amount is enough. Overall, I am very happy with this product and will continue repurchasing it. Definitely one of the best retinal products I have tried.

SPF 50 recall UK
SPF 50 recall. Do Not trust this brand! Allies of skin are recalling their Spf50 because of quality issues. I bought mine on their UK website. I have been chasing them for a refund but I have been informed that they are not prepared to do it. I had to do a lengthy registration on their recall link but no credit has been given at this time. Unbelievably bad customer service.

I have been a loyal Allies of Skin customer for over two years, using "The One" Sunscreen Gel consistently. The recent voluntary recall of this product was a huge shock, but the way the company has handled the aftermath is even more disappointing. A quality failure of this scale should have been caught much earlier—especially given how much the brand emphasized its lengthy development process and strict standards. To make matters worse: - No refunds, only store vouchers: Instead of refunding affected customers, they offer store credit—forcing people whose trust they broke to spend more money with them. - No accountability for past purchases: Compensation only applies to unused products currently in hand, ignoring loyal customers who have been using an ineffective product for years. - Zero response from customer service: I submitted feedback regarding this policy, and my message was completely ignored. Trusting a brand with sun protection is a big deal. Failing on product quality is bad enough, but ignoring loyal customers and refusing proper monetary refunds is completely unacceptable.

Products are amazing, loyalty program terrible
Products are amazing! Their formulations are innovative and power packed. However, I will stop supporting a company with a loyalty program that requires you to spend a minimum amount to use your points/vouchers. Spend $130 to use a $30 voucher? That’s less of a discount than their sale prices. What’s the point of loyalty and points when they essentially hold no additional value.
