Keine vollständige Rückzahlung erhalten nach offizieller Absage des Herstellers / schlechter Kundenservice
Habe eine Figur vorbestellt. Leider wurde die Veröffentlichung eingestellt. Der Kundenservice hat sich sofort gemeldet, was ich auch gut fand. Allerdings habe ich zuerst nur die Anzahlung mit den Versandkosten erstattet bekommen. Ich hatte die Figur aber bereits komplett bezahlt. Daraufhin habe ich wieder Kontakt zum Kundenservice aufgenommen und die Rechnung über die Restzahlung eingereicht, mit der Bitte um Erstattung. Nun dauerte es ewig bis der Kundenservice sich, auch erst nach erneuter Nachfrage, wieder gemeldet hat. Ich bekam dann die Hälfte der Restsumme zurück. Auf wiederholte Nachfrage was mit dem Rest sei, bekam ich nur die Antwort das man das intern besprechen würde. Jetzt warte ich schon mehrere Wochen auf die restliche Rückzahlung. Auch wird nun auf meine Nachfragen nicht mehr reagiert. Äußerst unerfreulich. Kann ich nicht empfehlen.

Lied to and Ghosted by Customer Service
I would not recommend purchasing from Akimomo, it's been 2 full business weeks since I had contacted their customer service to switch funds from a pre-order to another product or cancel (not a refund) if that isn't possible and there has been no updates. I got given the typical "I will escalate this for approval", unhelpful and dishonest business that doesn't even provide direct email contact, instead forcing you through a chat button on their website where you're stalled and lied to. Even if the delivery prices look good for Australians, I personally prefer a service that actually cares about resolving issues for customers, especially when it comes to purchasing figures. I don't want to imagine how difficult it would be to get any real help if something were to go wrong with the actual product itself, let alone sorting out orders.

Really good shopping experience
I bought my first time ever anime figure from Akimomo in March 2026 and I live in Denmark, Europe. It was in stock and already released. The full price was listed and I didn't get any unexpected surprises like extra or extremely high shipping cost or something like that when buying the figure. About a month later or so it arrived without any signs of damage. And to be honest I was quite surprised at how well it was packed. Double boxed and corner protectors. Really nice done. Really good shopping experience

This was my very first time buying anime figurines from Akimomo and located in Australia. I did research from people's experiences from this Akimomo, but I had no issues with order updates and tracking numbers. Now I live in the USA and Akimomo is in Australia and I KNOW shipping WILL TAKE MONTHS for it to arrive to my address. I purchased my first figurine on March 18, 2026. It was in stock and it was already released after it's released date. I have confirmation numbers and trackings. All I had to do was to wait patiently. After a month and 2 weeks it has arrived and the package was VERY WELL packed double boxed and corner protectors it was undamaged and made it safe to me. I was so happy and shout out to the staff team for making my first experience great. I did pre-order more figurines so I'm confident that they will arrived soon after the release date. I know people have different experiences, and I'm speaking to the USA peeps. If you decide to buy from Akimomo and give it a try, I say go for it I recommend them. However, PLEASE read very carefully whether the figurine you like is in stock, then you might get yours soon, just like mine was in stock, and I got it in a month and two weeks. Thank you Akimomo and I hope to see new anime figurines in the future.

Akimomo has been a good store with a wide selection of figurines at a competitive price. If you're a patient person then it is worth trying to buy from them as the only downside is a longer than usual delivery times compared to other stores. I give them 4 stars to offset some of the negative reviews and for the fact they refunded me the pre-orders they weren't delivered in a batch I ordered 2 years ago today. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as I heard their company got restructured and their warehouse got relocated during that period.
